Boreal
Explorations EcoAdventures (BEEA) offers year-round ecotours within
and around Voyageurs National Park located
in beautiful northern
Minnesota. Our life enhancing
adventures provide the ultimate in
silent sports tours and
meet environmental, cultural and economically
sustainable principles. Through kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, sailing,
wildlife viewing and more, Boreal defies traditional tourism boundaries
to take you on adventures of explorations.

Boreal Explorations EcoAdventures is located in Ranier, Minnesota,
three miles east of International Falls and will
provide eco-oriented adventure and educational travel opportunities
on Rainy Lake and Voyageurs National Park.
BEEA specializes in ecotourism and outdoor adventure by providing half
to multi-day tour packages, offered year round
in the form of: kayaking, sailing, boating, wildlife viewing, bird
watching, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, summer and winter camping, fishing
and cultural and scientific/natural history
learning adventures on
Rainy Lake in Voyageurs National
Park, northern Minnesota. Basic kayak
rentals, full-service expedition outfitting, and kayak lessons are also offered.
A
two hour sea kayak lesson is a great and safe way to learn
the wonders
of these amazingly safe boats. In addition, BEEA offers two hour sunset
kayak cruises every Friday and Sunday evening at 6:00, leaving from
the Rainy Lake Visitor Center.
This is a fun and educational way for
the whole family to experience the grace of sea kayaking and view the
beauty
of the park. No experience is necessary.

Guided trips with BEEA can be customized to meet the abilities, needs,
and interests of all clients. Trips may be tailored toward multi-day
high endurance wilderness expeditions for those interested in extreme
adventure travel, or two hour relaxing, scenic picnic forays. Multi-day
tours range from two days, one night, to up to seven days (or longer).
These tours involve a combination of kayaking or sailing, camping,
and if clients prefer, hiking. Winter tours involve snowshoeing or
skiing with all the gear packed in toboggans. All tours can be customized
to client’s preferences. Groups may request a guide for the entire
trip, for portions of the trip or not at all. Depending on the experience
and comfort level of the clients, the guide may be responsible for
navigation and general trip logistics or they may be hired to provide
interpretive programs along the way. Clients may also choose luxury
trips. With a luxury trip, BEEA shuttles (via powerboat, or snowmobile)
camping gear and food to the campsite each day of the trip. Clients
will arrive at their campsite to find tents set up, equipment organized,
and dinner supplies ready. BEEA’s guides are cooks par excellence
and are proud to have a lot of fun cooking sumptuously delicious, unforgettable
meals.
Boreal Explorations EcoAdventures welcome one-and-all to experience
the beauty and wildness of this special place. Ride the waves comfortably
and safely in a sea kayak or experience the quiet of a winter night
beside a wood stove in a large, warm canvas tent. Through the seasons
the landscape changes and we strive to be there, learning, laughing
and exploring.
